ber is selected long before a garden is imagined. We believe knowing where something comes from changes how you experience it—and gives the finished piece a story worth preserving.
On our woodland property in Tolland County, Connecticut, we selectively harvest timber as part of caring for the land. Each chosen tree begins a new chapter, destined to become something beautiful and lasting.
The timber is milled on our property, carefully prepared, and fitted into a pond designed for its destination. We build and refine each structure before installation, bringing the care of the workshop into the garden.
Water moves through a planted upper pond, where aquatic plants and biological processes support a naturally balanced ecosystem. It then flows over a handcrafted waterfall into the lower pond—bringing movement, sound, and life into the garden.
What began as a tree in our Connecticut woods becomes a distinctive place in your garden. Each completed pond includes a personalized provenance book documenting the journey of its timber—from its original woodland setting to its new home beside the water.
